DIY Dog Hammock

I saw a pic of something called a rodent Hammock on Pinterest, and at my friends house when I discovered that her pet rats had a Hammock in their cage. I finally decided that there was really no reason I couldn’t try my hand at creating a Hammock for Maddy and Evie to hang inside of their kennel. Lucky for me I had some scrap cloth lying around and with only a quick trip to the dollar store for some rope I had everything I needed to create a Hammock.

First I measured out a squarish/rectangular piece of cloth. I used a navy blue piece of canvas cloth that I had. And I matched the rope we got a Dollarama to that colour. I sewed the edges down leaving space for a channel to push the rope through on either end, and TADA! A dog Hammock super easy to make and honestly the hardest part was probably figuring out how to tie it up inside the kennel so that there would be enough slack for them to hangout in it.

Enjoy these pics of the pups in their Hammock!
